Interesting Authors for Kids

A note from Katherine-
There are many amazing authors which bring the world of books alive. The variety and standard of children's books never ceases to inspire and excite me. Neither does the amount of material we now have available to make reading a fantastic experience. Apart from the enormous selection of new publications, we don't need to exclude the good time favourites. One of my old favourites is the classic story 'Little Red Hen'. My mum used to read this to me every night and I have great time sharing with little ones today. It has rhyme, rhythm, repetitive speech, a great problem and a victory with a lesson for us all at the end.

Here are just a few websites of my favourite authors for you to view. I have a great deal of fun sharing their books with children and I am sure you will too. Remember to have fun and when helping your child through the journey of learning to read especially with their nightly home reader, always make time to read to them for enjoyment.
